I create works in many layers, exploring contrasts and apparent contradictions. Through texture, color and form, I seek to reveal beauty, growth and hope within darkness and imperfection.

I am an artist working with abstract painting and mixed media. At the centre of my work are contrasts and apparent contradictions: beauty and destruction, delicacy and rawness, control and intuition, light and darkness.

I work primarily with acrylic paint, texture media and sculptural elements shaped by hand. I frequently use found, discarded or previously used materials, deliberately incorporating their traces, fractures and imperfections into my work. My paintings develop through many layers – building, altering, concealing and revealing, while allowing parts of the process to remain visible.

Sculptural flowers are a recurring element in my work. To me, they represent beauty, growth and the persistence of what is good. They emerge through rough, dark or fractured surfaces and exist not despite these contrasts, but alongside them. This reflects my own outlook on life: darkness and imperfection do not need to be denied. By allowing them their place, beauty, hope and love can emerge all the more powerfully.
